This notice sets out who owns this website, what it is for, what may be done with its contents and what law applies to it, in compliance with Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE).

This website belongs to the Global Padel Association, the association described on these pages. There is no intermediate company: the entity that publishes this site is the same one that answers for it, that you contract with, that you address complaints to and that you may take action against.

This is an informational website. It describes what the Global Padel Association is, what its statutes say, who may become a member, how its bodies are composed and where its limits lie. It sells nothing, it signs nobody up and it admits no member from these pages: applications are dealt with by the association through the procedure its statutes lay down.

What GPA is, and what it is notQué es GPA y qué no es

GPA is a non-profit association of voluntary membership. It orders its own associative sphere — its members, its private competitions, its internal rules, its own certification and its disciplinary regime — and cooperates with third parties through agreements.

GPA es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro y de afiliación voluntaria. Ordena su propio ámbito asociativo —sus miembros, sus competiciones privadas, sus normas internas, su certificación y su régimen disciplinario— y colabora con terceros mediante convenios.

It is not a federation and does not claim the role of one. It does not approve, homologate or authorise competitions belonging to others. Its rules bind those who choose to join, and nobody else. Nothing on this site should be read as a power over anyone who is not a member.

No es una federación ni reclama el papel de ninguna. No aprueba, homologa ni autoriza competiciones ajenas. Sus normas obligan a quien decide asociarse, y a nadie más. Nada de lo publicado aquí debe leerse como una potestad sobre quien no es miembro.

3. GPA, GPS and OWPR3. GPA, GPS y OWPR

Three names appear across these pages, and each one has its own owner, its own job and its own address. They are not interchangeable.

En estas páginas aparecen tres nombres, y cada uno tiene su titular, su función y su dirección. No son intercambiables.

• GPA is the regulatory framework: the statutes, the guarantees, the governance, the licences of the association, the discipline of its members and membership itself. That is what this site covers, and it lives at globalpadelassociation.org.
• GPS — Global Padel Series — is the circuit: the calendar, the events, the categories, the venues and how a tour, a club or an organiser joins it. It lives at globalpadelseries.com.
• OWPR — the Open World Padel Ranking — is the ranking: the standings, the positions, the points and the published rule that computes them. It is owned by GPA and it lives at owpr.org.

• GPA es el marco regulador: los estatutos, las garantías, la gobernanza, las licencias de la asociación, la disciplina de sus miembros y la propia afiliación. Es lo que trata este sitio, y vive en globalpadelassociation.org.
• GPS —Global Padel Series— es el circuito: el calendario, las pruebas, las categorías, las sedes y cómo se adhiere un circuito, un club o un organizador. Vive en globalpadelseries.com.
• OWPR —el Open World Padel Ranking— es el ranking: las clasificaciones, las posiciones, los puntos y la regla publicada que los calcula. Es titularidad de GPA y vive en owpr.org.

So this site does not explain how ranking points are worked out, and it publishes no calendar of events: for either of those it points to the site that answers for it. Conversely, any statement about the rules, the guarantees or who answers for what belongs here.

The Global Padel Association name and its acronym GPA, the emblem and the visual identity of the association, together with the texts, the design, the layout, the source code, the images and any other content on this site, belong to the Global Padel Association or are used by it under licence.

La denominación Global Padel Association y su acrónimo GPA, el emblema y la identidad visual de la asociación, así como los textos, el diseño, la maquetación, el código fuente, las imágenes y cualquier otro contenido de este sitio, son titularidad de la Global Padel Association o se utilizan por ella bajo licencia.

The Open World Padel Ranking (OWPR) — its name, its acronym, its published rule and the ranking itself — is likewise owned by the Global Padel Association, and is published at owpr.org. Consulting it is free; that does not make it public domain, and it may not be reused as a database or republished as one's own.

El Open World Padel Ranking (OWPR) —su nombre, su acrónimo, su regla publicada y el propio ranking— es igualmente titularidad de la Global Padel Association, y se publica en owpr.org. For any dispute arising from the use of the site, the parties submit to the courts of Madrid, unless the applicable rules impose another venue — in particular the rules protecting consumers, which are unaffected by this clause. Disputes between the association and its members follow, first, the internal mechanisms and the arbitration provided for in the statutes.
